A Better and Lasting Possession
Topic: Hebrews Scripture: Hebrews 10:32–10:39
The sermon text will be Hebrews 10:32-39, a passage that teaches us about the importance of having an eternal perspective, especially in the midst of life's difficulties. Consider this quote from Paul Wolfe as you prepare for worship: “You see, a world awaits us Christians where we will finally feel at home and at peace. In death we will go there, and then (even more wondrously) at the return of Jesus our heavenly home will come here, for the body will be raised and the cosmos renewed. Finally all will be as it was meant to be. A heavenly earth. Earthly heaven. Then and there we will survey the scene and finally sigh our deepest, most satisfying sigh: ‘Home at last!’ ” (Setting Our Sights on Heaven, p. 184).
